Tickets for the 2025 Sakura Matsuri - Japanese Street Festival

Please enter your details in the form and select your tickets. Children 12 and under are always free and do not require a ticket.

You will be directed to a payment page to pay via Stripe. You can download your tickets on the next confirmation page and your eTickets will be sent to the email address provided.

Your eTicket will have a unique QR code, which will be scanned at the entry gate. If you purchase add-ons, such as a Sake Tasting, admission to the Tachinomi Pavilion or merchandise pre-purchase, those will be separate eTickets/QR codes from your entry ticket.

Sakura Matsuri tickets are non-refundable, but if you can’t make it, you can give them to a friend by sending them the eTickets. All ticket sales and the online fee payments support the Japan-America Society of Washington DC which fosters grassroots US-Japan relations in Washington, DC.

Merchandise Prepurchase

All merchandise prepurchase orders can be picked up from one of our three (3) Matsuri Markets. We will reach out to let you know which Matsuri Market will have your items just before the event. You will be issued a separate ticket for t-shirt or a Sakura-chan plush which will be scanned at the Matsuri Market to confirm pickup.

Hakutsuru Sake Tasting Pavilion

Choose the number of Hakutsuru Sake Tasting Pavilion tickets you want, and then you will be able to choose the day/time you want to schedule your tasting for.  The ticket cost is $50 and includes admission for the Matsuri on the day of your tasting and a scheduled entry to our Sake Tasting Pavilion where you will enjoy the experience of tasting 7 different sakes and learn about the sake brewing process.

We will hold your time slot for 10 minutes after your selected tasting session begins. We regret that If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will forfeit your spot.

Sake Tasting Pavilion + One-Day Entry

Tachinomi Pavilion Admission

NEW for 2025  - join us in the Tachinomi (Japanese for "stand and sip") Pavilion. Enjoy a 30-minute slot to taste a range of Japanese whisky and other spirits, and sake brewed in the United States. List of participating companies sent shortly before the Sakura Matsuri.

Choose the number of Tachinomi Pavilion tickets you want, and then you will be able to choose the day/time for your timeframe.  The ticket cost is $30 and includes admission for the Matsuri on the day of your tasting and the scheduled entry to our Tachinomi Pavilion. Sake and light snacks will be available for purchase after your tasting, and we will have a small seating area to relax with your purchased beverage/snack.

We will hold your time slot for 10 minutes after your selected tasting session begins. We regret that If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will forfeit your spot.
